Apple Pork Chops
Apple Pork Chops
I love this recipe in the fall. I've been making it for years.
I got this recipe from my mother in law. I served this with roasted Brussel Sprouts.
Ingredients
3 Tbsp Butter
4 pork chops-I used bone in
1/2 tsp dried sage
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp cayenne
2 Gala apples, cored and thinly sliced
1 yellow onion thinly sliced
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup apple juice
Directions
In a large skillet melt 1 tbsp of butter. Sprinkle pork chops with
dried sage, cinnamon, salt, cayenne. Add to skillet and cook turning once until
browned. Reduce heat and cover and cook until no longer pink 7-10 minutes.
Transfer to a plate and cover with another plate to keep warm.
Add the other 2 tbsp of butter and melt in skillet and add onion and
apples. cook until apples are soft about 3-5 minutes. Add apple juice and cook
until liquid thickens about 1-2 minutes. Serve pork chops with apple/onion
mixture.
